Excel Dressage in Loxahatchee, Florida was founded by Speck-Kern, an accomplished FEI rider and Coach. With a background training under "S" Judge Sharon Poulin, Olympic medalists Michael Poulin and Ali Brock, she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her students.
A successful FEI competitor, Speck-Kern was ranked top in the nation at the 2016 Markel/USEF National Young Horse Championships aboard Kathryn Hoog’s KWPN mare Gerona. Speck-Kern’s naturally quiet, effective riding style and training methods draws a strong client base of competitive amateurs, many of whom compete through the FEI level. Amy offers training, showing, and sales of top caliber dressage horses. She is also a Saddle Specialist for and sponsored by Aulion Sellier Full Custom French Saddles. Excel Dressage imports a select number of exceptional sales and show prospects each year.
As an equestrian Ambassador for the Kids Cancer Foundation, Speck Kern has found a way to "give back" in gratitude for the research and therapies that saved her life when she was diagnosed with Acute Myleoid Leukemia at 18.
With her sights set on eventually obtaining an international dressage judge license, she is pursuing her ‘S’ accreditation and continues to develop her string of competition horses.
