Integrity. Passion. Performance.
These words summarize Amy as a competitor, rider, trainer, business owner and coach. Founded in 2010, Excel Dressage is an elite dressage training and sales facility which focuses on developing horses and riders to the peak of their ability through classical dressage principles.
Based in the winter horse mecca of the US, Excel Dressage includes Amy, her students, mentors, horses, and sponsors. Her facility, Tantalus Farm South in Deer Run, in just moments from the Global Dressage Festival and White Fences showgrounds, features a full size dressage arena with mirrors and GGT footing, a 20 stall barn, and multiple grassy turnouts.
Amy began her advanced dressage career with Michael and Sharon Poulin, and continues to school with them as she develops her own horses to the Grand Prix. Her naturally quiet but effective way of riding appeals to sensitive, athletic horses, as well as to students of all abilities. Her students include international adult amateurs who have qualified and competed at the US Dressage Finals as well as achieved personal best scores at the FEI levels. Amy herself has qualified horses for the regional championships in 2015 and placed among the top horse and rider combinations in the nation at the 2016 Markel/USEF Young Horse Championships.
Since its launch, Excel has built a string of exceptional show horses, clients, students, colleagues and investors that are integral to her success. The name ‘excel’ refers to both the desire to excel in the international dressage arena, and the importance of always moving forward. Team Excel is always welcoming new members and progressing towards excellence in the sport and art of dressage.
